Dog-themed cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) extended its rally from the past week, now nearing the much-watched ten-cent level. Dogecoin price resolved higher early Monday following a brief pause over the weekend.
At the time of writing, DOGE was rising alongside the rest of the market, up 9.95% in the last 24 hours to $0.093. Bitcoin led the market rally, rising above $85,000 to trade at its highest level since late January.
At the same time, DOGE derivatives activity is picking up, with open interest rising 16% to reach $1.49 billion in the last 24 hours, according to CoinGlass data.
Dogecoin recovered from a low of $0.078 on September 16, 2026, surpassing the daily MA 200 at $0.087; a drop had brought Dogecoin’s price below this level earlier.
Currently, the rally continues above the daily MA 200, reaching a high of $0.094 early Monday following a sharp price surge.
For Dogecoin to attain $0.1, traders are watching for a decisive breakout above $0.095, where its price rally stalled in early September. Dogecoin price attempted a retest of this key level, but bulls stopped short of it, only reaching $0.0948. The dog cryptocurrency also needs to hold above the daily MA 200 to support this bullish outlook.
Crypto winter over?
Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus sparked a buzz in the crypto market over the weekend when he posted “We’re So Back?” His post didn’t explicitly mention any digital asset, with the crypto community speculating this might be referring to the broader market rebound.
With Bitcoin reaching levels last seen in January and altcoins producing double-digit gains, investors are assessing whether the “crypto winter”—a depressed period of digital asset prices—might be over.
“I do think it’s over, it’s crypto spring, the crocuses are blooming,” Matt Hougan, CIO at Bitwise, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” on Monday.
