On October 31st, 2021 in the spirit of Halloween, VeeFriends introduced a limited edition collection: Spooky Vees. This series is composed of 31 different 1/1 artworks featuring the VeeFriends Series 1 Halloween-themed characters. This drop was special because it marked the first VeeFriends NFTs created since the release of VeeFriends Series 1, and was the inaugural collection to establish the collection known as — VeeFriends Mini Drops.
Spooky Vees consists of 31 unique pieces created by NFT artist Gilang Bogy featuring ten total VeeFriends Series 1 characters. The artwork is the first to feature multiple VeeFriends in this collection of 1/1 tokens, as the VeeFriends embark on many Halloween journeys.
As GaryVee put it, “this limited edition of 31 tokens incorporates some of the most interesting VeeFriends characters that skew in the Halloween theme.”
To unveil the project, owners of any of the featured Series 1 Halloween-themed characters were eligible to claim one of the special 1/1 tokens on a first come first serve basis.
The eligible VeeFriends characters included: Breakfast Bat, Bold As Fuck Bat, Jolly Jack-O, Motivated Monster, Skilled Skeleton, Trusting Tarantula, Vibe’n Vampire, Well-Connected Werewolf, Zealous Zombie, Very, Very, Very, Very, Lucky Black Cat.
Each token was carefully curated and named by GaryVee and the VeeFriends team, making this exclusive drop, particularly fun to look through! Check out the collection to see all of the 31 Spooky Vees.
Gilang Bogy, the artist who created the “Iconics” design behind the 2018 project titled CryptoStrikers (also known as Wrapped Strikers), which are the most valuable and exclusive tokens throughout the collection.
Gilang Bogy has a legacy of creating meaningful digital art, and has partnered with brands such as Coca-Cola, Eurosport, AIG, and The Rose Bowl. Gilang also hand-crafted the recent VeeFriends Iconics collection that immerses VeeFriends characters in their Iconic form. Spooky Vees was Gilang’s debut collection within the VeeFriends ecosystem.
