Hyperliquid: HYPE crypto faces $5.62M sell threat as Andrew Tate moves $1.87M – AMBCrypto

Hyperliquid is transforming Circle’s reserve yield into a direct source of HYPE buyback demand. This transformation will change the way the protocol’s revenue returns to its token holders.

In essence, this agreement directs all of the AQA yield generated by an existing $6.07 billion treasury to be returned directly to Hyperliquid.

Using a 3% interest assumption, this results in approximately $498,580 in daily purchase power. Assuming each Hype token costs $88, at the above rate the flows can burn approximately 5,684 tokens per day or increase the burn by 25% relative to its current average.

Furthermore, because the mechanism has been designed to scale directly with the size of Circle’s reserves, it allows the purchase power for burns to increase as more assets are deposited.

Therefore, Hyperliquid has created a new source of recurring demand for HYPE. In doing so, it strengthens HYPE’s overall tokenomics, creating greater opportunity for burning HYPE.

    AQAv2 yield begins HYPE buybacks

That proposed buyback mechanism is transitioning from conceptual to implementation. Hyperliquid’s System Interest Address has confirmed receipt of the first AQAv2 Reserve Payment, thus proving actual revenue flowing into the system.

Of the $14.58 million in USD Coin [USDC] generated from this source, only $2 has currently entered the Assistance Fund. However, there is still $14,580,777.21 in USDC awaiting to be transferred from the reserve account to the assistance fund.

The significance of this distinction lies within the fact that the reserve yields have been successfully recorded. Therefore, once these funds enter the Assistance Fund, they may then be converted by Hyperliquid into buyback activities.

Hence, the pending transfer is what needs to occur in order for the reserve income to become realized HYPE deflation.

    Tate moves HYPE to Binance

Meanwhile, Tate’s latest move has shifted focus off of Hyperliqd’s buybacks towards possible sources of HYPE liquidity. He transferred 20,950 HYPE, worth approximately $1.87 million, to Binance.

Despite that move, this action in itself doesn’t confirm that the HYPE was sold. Therefore, the remaining 63,550 HYPE will likely gain even greater importance. This remaining balance is approximately $5.62 million and is still out of exchange.

Thus, there are many options left open with regard to future deposit possibilities should selling become an attractive option.

According to Lookonchain data, Tate realized over $7.24 million in profit with the sale of HYPE. This is indicative of the size of profits that exist at this time for people who have purchased HYPE at levels below $4.48.

Thus, future exchange transactions may counteract some of the demand created by Hyperliquid’s stated intention to repurchase HYPE. In turn, this would increase sell-side pressure, making wallet movements increasingly important for HYPE’s price going forward.
